Saturday, April 18 from 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM
PALERMO –Integral ecology in all its forms: in justice and peace, but also in the care of the person and of creation. Starting from these topics, young people and families will be involved in the workshops of this year's Gonzaga CITY Day.
For the occasion, in fact, in the name of meeting, discovery and celebration, workshops and free activities open to the whole city will take place. The goal is to allow children/young people and families to experience opportunities for creativity, sports, fun and intergenerational and inclusive play. For the occasion, Saturday, April 18, from 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM, several recreational and sports activities are planned in the large green spaces of the Campus. To participate, you must register at the following link:https://gonzagacampus.it/en/city-day

The workshops are divided by age group: from nursery to high school, from pre-school to diploma programme. The program includes welcome from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM. You can try various laboratory and sports activities. Upon arrival, participants will receive a map with directions to the various workshops. Young people, parents, teachers, non-teaching staff, members of Ignatian groups and associations are invited to participate.
Among the novelties of this year, there will be a particularly intense moment full of meaning: the awarding of the first Football Memorial dedicated to little Enrico. From the days following his premature death, the Campus community has, in fact, preserved his memory by dedicating the children's park to him.
The Memorial now wants to remember Enrico through places and experiences that speak of growth, friendship,

shared joy and care for children. The tournament, sponsored by Polisportiva Gonzaga, will take place starting at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 17 and will continue on the morning of Saturday, April 18 from 10:00 AM. During the Memorial it will be possible to participate in the raffle of a ball and autographed jerseys of Palermo FC. The drawing will be held on April 17 based on the first three numbers of the Lotto on the Palermo FC. The proceeds will be donated to charity, helping to transform a cherished memory into a concrete gesture of solidarity. Tickets will be available at the Polisportiva Gonzaga secretariat.
“For us, talking about integral ecology means keeping together the care of the person and the care of creation, attention to growth paths and responsibility towards the world we inhabit, cultivating a sense of justice and peace - says p. Vitangelo Denora, general manager of the Gonzaga Campus -. It means educating to a gaze capable of guarding life in its entirety, recognizing how today the 'cry of the earth' and that of the many human fragilities deeply challenge us. We are convinced that this day can be not only a beautiful time to share among ourselves but also a precious opportunity to offer to other families in the city so that they can get to know, more closely, the educational proposal of Gonzaga and the climate of community that supports it. We wish to share with you a day of meeting, discovery and celebration”.
