Putting Yourself to the Test, Opening Up to the World: Hippo 2026 Kicks Off
Gonzaga Campus renews its international challenge by participating in the HIPPO English Language Olympiad again this year.
This competition is not just a language test, but a bridge that connects our students to a global community of young people from over 60 countries, all united by a passion for English.

On March 20th, the middle school students faced the preliminary selections with great enthusiasm. The tests comprehensively challenged their skills, ranging from reading comprehension to writing, to listening and mastery of linguistic structures. This is not a simple school test, but an opportunity to measure themselves against objective and stimulating international standards.
For Gonzaga, participating in HIPPO means offering students an experience that goes far beyond the competition. It is a path of growth that promotes awareness of one's abilities and encourages an open mindset, essential for the citizens of the future. Seeing our students get involved with determination is confirmation that language learning is, first of all, an instrument of freedom and encounter.
The next step for those who pass this phase will be the national finals scheduled for April 17th and 18th, a further milestone towards the world finals which will be held in the autumn in Italy, in Assisi. Regardless of the results, the courage to challenge one's limits in an international context is already the greatest victory.
