Choosing the Future: The Story of the Open Day at Gonzaga Campus
On Saturday, January 31st, the Gonzaga Campus in Palermo opened its doors, transforming into a crossroads of dreams, projects, and curiosities. It wasn't just a morning of school orientation, but a real invitation to enter a community that for over a century has placed "cura personalis" at its center, a deep attention to each individual student.
The atmosphere warmed up from 9:30 with the welcome and coffee time, an informal moment that allowed families to begin to breathe in the air of the campus. The Director and staff then guided the heart of the meeting, emphasizing how choosing a school today means making an act of trust towards a path that unites the solid Jesuit educational tradition with the most ambitious innovation.
A Journey Between Italian Excellence and International Scope
Visitors moved along two parallel but integrated tracks. On one hand, the Italian School presented its offer that ranges from Nursery to High Schools, with the debut of the new Liceo delle Scienze Umane (High School of Human Sciences) which promises to train minds capable of reading contemporary social challenges. On the other hand, the International School Palermo (ISP) showed the excellence of the only IB World School path in Southern Italy, where critical thinking and global citizenship are the pillars of daily teaching.
Spaces that Educate
During the campus tour, parents and future students explored the STEAM laboratories, where technology becomes a tool for discovery, and the large facilities of the Sports Association. Here, sport is not seen only as physical activity, but as a life gym to train character and respect. Walking among the ancient trees of the park gave everyone the feeling of a living educational ecosystem, where nature offers a regenerating setting for study.
The Open Day on January 31st left a clear message: to educate means "to open the mind and the heart".
