Auguri, Buon Natale!
Dio che si fa bambino ricorda agli uomini che al centro dei loro pensieri, dei loro interessi, dei loro affetti, dei loro studi devono esserci i bambini e che siamo chiamati, ancora di più in questo tempo, a metterci in ascolto della voce dei piccoli; nelle loro parole sono contenuti i segreti di una vita più bella.
Per questo motivo ho scelto di farvi i miei auguri con le parole di Bianca Lo Iacono, nostra studentessa di terza media, che al Concerto di Natale ci ha regalato una riflessione di grande bellezza e profondità, che voglio condividere con voi:
“Natale è una festa che ci riporta in mente tante cose: l’albero, il presepe, i regali, la tombola e la famiglia sicuramente; ma più di tutto ci torno in mente Gesù bambino, che ogni anno rinasce in mezzo a noi.
Il Natale è un periodo in cui tutti noi possiamo migliorare, ritornare sui nostri errori, cambiare e soprattutto aiutare gli altri, insomma anche noi possiamo rinascere.
La rinascita è un concetto che sembra complesso, come un traguardo lontano che ha bisogno di molto impegno per essere raggiunto e a dire il vero impegno ce ne vuole, ma in realtà rinascere è semplice, basta solo sforzarsi un poco e ritornare a quella condizione in cui abbiamo cominciato ad esistere: in cui eravamo puri, pieni di stupore e di gratitudine; rinascere, quindi, significa recuperare quello sguardo e quella bontà verso il mondo.
Una delle cose su cui però noi dobbiamo riflettere non è solo il fatto di poter rinascere, ma anche di poter aiutare gli altri a rinascere. Certamente in questo Natale un pensiero va a tutte le persone che affrontano la guerra (come gli ucraini) e che sono fuggite per sopravvivere, loro che hanno provato il vero dolore e che hanno visto la morte certamente passeranno un Natale diverso dal nostro. Ecco, noi abbiamo la possibilità di aiutare loro e tutte le persone con un triste passato ad iniziare una nuova vita a rinascere; dopotutto basta poco per far sentire una persona accolta e amata. Viviamo, quindi questo Natale come punto di partenza per rinasce e far rinascere”.
Cari studenti, genitori, docenti, non docenti, volontari … a nome della comunità dei Padri Gesuiti e di tutto il consiglio di direzione, auguro buon Natale a voi e alle vostre famiglie. Il Dio bambino ci spinga ad ascoltare la voce dei piccoli e ci suggerisca il sogno di una umanità rinnovata, come desideriamo.

Dear all,
Merry Christmas!
God who becomes a child reminds us that children must be at the center of our thoughts, our interests, our affections, our studies and that we are called, even more in this time, to listen to the voice of the little ones ; in their words are contained the secrets of a more beautiful life.
For this reason, I have chosen to send you my best wishes with the words of Bianca Lo Iacono, our “terza media” student, who at the Christmas Concert gave us a reflection of great beauty and depth, which I want to share with you:
“Christmas is a celebration that reminds us of many things: the tree, the crib, the gifts, the bingo and certainly the family; but most of all we remember baby Jesus, who is reborn among us every year.
Christmas is a time when we can all improve, go back to our mistakes, change and above all help others, in short, we too can be reborn.
Rebirth is a concept that seems complex, like a distant goal that needs a lot of effort to be achieved and to say that real effort is needed, but in reality being reborn is simple, you just need to make an effort a little and return to that condition in which we began to exist: in which we were pure, filled with wonder and gratitude; being reborn, therefore, means recovering that gaze and that goodness towards the world.
However, one of the things we must reflect on is not only the fact of being able to be reborn, but also of being able to help others to be reborn. Certainly this Christmas a thought goes to all the people who face war (like the Ukrainians) and who fled to survive, they who have experienced true pain and who have seen death will certainly spend a different Christmas than ours. Here, we have the opportunity to help them and all people with a sad past to start a new life to be reborn; after all, it takes very little to make a person feel welcomed and loved. We live, therefore this Christmas as a starting point to be reborn and to be reborn “.
Dear students, parents, teachers, non-teachers, volunteers … on behalf of the community of Jesuit Fathers and the entire board of directors, I wish you and your families a Merry Christmas. May the God child push us to listen to the voice of the little ones and suggest to us the dream of a renewed humanity, as we desire
