Description

"At Gonzaga it's time for growth for everyone": the project for strengthening skills, inclusion and sociability is launched

The Gonzaga Institute of Palermo proudly announces the launch of the project called "At Gonzaga it's time for growth for everyone", an important strategic initiative co-financed by the European Union through the ESF+ fund.

This intervention is developed within the National Program "School and skills" twenty twenty-one twenty twenty-seven with the fundamental objective of enhancing the summer suspension period of lessons through educational and training pathways of excellence aimed at students. The path was created to concretely respond to the needs of integral growth of students, focusing on strengthening key skills and social inclusion in an experience that transforms the school into a living laboratory of meeting and discovery for the entire school community.

The project aims to strengthen disciplinary and transversal skills in a non-formal context, actively supporting sociability to reduce the risks of isolation during the break from lessons. The program also aims to encourage creative expression and cultural awareness, as well as strengthen computational thinking and digital citizenship skills through engaging workshops.

The initiative is divided into four specialist courses that cover fundamental thematic areas for the development of young people. The first path entitled Radici e Ali: II is configured as a journey of personal and social growth to learn together while the second called Voci in Armonia is dedicated to cultural expression and interpersonal relationships through the practice of choral singing. The third module called Parole in Viaggio consists of a workshop on foreign languages and cultures to promote international openness and finally the module Ingegno e Arte proposes an itinerary between science, technology and computational thinking applied to digital citizenship.

The intervention is coordinated by an internal selection committee led by the General Director Father Vitangelo Denora, supported by Dr. Maria Elena Poderati, Prof. Vito Chiaramonte and Teacher Maria Burrafato. The activities will begin in July twenty twenty-five and will continue during the following school year, making use of a qualified team composed of eight experts, five tutors and an additional figure for specialist support. With a total authorized investment of over fifty-one thousand euros, the Gonzaga Institute confirms its mission as an educational reality that invests in the future of its students, offering concrete tools to become aware citizens ready for the challenges of a world in continuous technological and social evolution.
