Academic and human excellence inspires the way our Gonzaga community operates, striving to form women and men who are competent, conscientious, compassionate, and witnesses of their faith, lived through justice, service, and respect for creation. From this foundation derives the commitment of our school community to: base education on the centrality of the person and of relationships; pursue rigor in academic studies; value the richness of the pedagogical tradition of Saint Ignatius of Loyola; innovate in methods and forms of communication; encourage creativity; open hearts to new frontiers; promote justice. “Builders of Peace” Award
This year, all our schools in Italy, following the invitation of the Jesuit Foundation, proposed a tutoring activity to their classes. Students were asked to reflect and then identify a classmate, friend, or acquaintance who, through their actions, has become a “builder of peace.” Through this simple process, guided by their tutors, students were encouraged to focus on others, especially on those aspects of behaviour that, due to their quiet nature, often go unnoticed. They embraced this initiative with great responsibility, electing the most deserving peers themselves.
